Sitges, the small gay-town at the Costa des Garraf benefits from the hoopla of Barcelona's gay community, which is only 30km away. Sightseeing is clearly not the motivation to visit Sitges. The old town morphs at midnight into a catwalk and party mile with an international Gay- and Lesbian crowd. The centers of night life can be found around Calle Mayor and the area between Parellades, Calle San Franciso and Calle Espalter. The drag-mile is located around Calle Dos de Mayo. Cruisers should go to Carrer 1er de Maig and Carrer Marqués de Montroig as primary hot spots. Beachboys don't have to change to meet the nightly dress code. Hardly any bar can do in summer without an underwar party. Days are hot in Sitges. Bears Bar, Man Bar, XXL Bar, nomen est omen. Not even the dark rooms provide the chill to cool down. Daily meeting point is the city beach at La Playa de la Bossa Rodona. If you are into doubletalk and uncomfortable pebbels then you will love the gay nude beach at Playa del Muerto - the beach of the dead man!
